Srinagar, Nov 01 (KNO): Major General Tushar Sharma took over charge of Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo), in North Kashmir as the 21st General Officer Commanding, succeeding Major General Vivek Narang.
Major General Tushar Sharma, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA) has tenated various staff and command appointments in varied terrain and formations and has extensive experience in Counter Terrorism Operations, a defence spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
On assuming command, Major General Tushar Sharma paid homage to the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in line of duty and exhorted all ranks to reaffirm their resolve to uphold the legacy of the Formation through steadfast commitment and devotion to duty.
He further emphasised the critical importance of combat readiness to effectively thwart all hostile and nefarious designs of inimical forces in North Kashmir—(KNO)
